WHIRE Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to assist with WHIRE - Wayne Holmes Information Referral Exchange. Responsibilities for this volunteer position include: answering the WHIRE hotline, assisting callers with local resources, logging and tracking calls in our database, updating the resource list and helping spread the word about the service.

Must have a passion and desire to help people and a friendly phone voice. Hours are flexible. We will train you and give you all of the tools to effectively and efficiently help people in need.

Allocations Volunteer

We are seeking Allocation Panel Volunteers. Time commitment is approximately 25 hours over two months (January - February). The purpose of this position is to ensure United Way of Wayne and Holmes funds are allocated and invested in a manner consistent with our mission.
