United Way of Wayne and Holmes 2020 Request for Proposal’s

Wooster, Ohio (October 16, 2019)– United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties (UWWH) is pleased to announce the release of their 2020 Request for Proposal’s (RFPs) for the annual community grant funding process that they host each year. This year United Way will offer grants totaling $750,000.00 which will be available for request starting October 16, 2019 through December 31, 2019. UWWH stands upon their mission of mobilizing community resources to measurably improve the lives of people in the communities they serve in Wayne and Holmes Counties. They do this by uniting community partners through the grant funding process each year. The grants are then vetted by a dedicated group of community members and United Way donors who sit on the committees that review the applications and proceed to recommend funding to the UWWH Board of Directors. Last year 23 organizations and 40 programs were funded through this process. In part with their mission, United Way has chosen to invest in quality programs in Wayne and Holmes Counties that seek to improve the lives of low-income residents. The four areas of focus that UWWH has carefully considered are; Health/Mental Health/Substance Abuse Treatment, Safety Net, Workforce Development and Youth Development. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to apply: 1. Be an organization meeting one of the following criteria: a. Run by a volunteer Board of Directors, none of whom receives any remuneration from the organization. 3. Currently provide services in Wayne and/or Holmes Counties a. Programs must serve residents living at or below 200% of Federal poverty limit in Wayne or Holmes County and be aligned with at least one of our four focus, as mentioned above.
