Wooster, Ohio (October 23, 2019) – United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties will be hosting two more events in Holmes County, for residents who wish to “Get to Know” United Way. These events will give residents time to learn more about the organization and the work they are doing in the area, as well as, hear stories on how their mission works to mobilize community resources to help people improve their lives daily.

“We are excited to be in Holmes County and serving the residents here, all while working to improve lives, by funding organizations that serve the people”, said Katie Koglman, United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties Executive Director. “One of the many programs we fund in Holmes County is Holmes Center for the Arts. We fund their after school program, where children learn math, reading and other fundamentals through using the arts. We also fund Anazao Community Partners, the Viola Startzman Clinic, Goodwill, One-Eighty and NAMI. All organizations that have amazing programs serving the area.”

The October event will take place at Ginger House in Berlin on October 30th, 2019 from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM, the next event will occur a few weeks later on November 20, 2019 at Millersburg Brewing Company, also from 4:30 – 6:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served at both events and will be full of fellowship and opportunities to learn more about how United Way is making an impact in Holmes County. United Way is encouraging members of the community to bring a friend.

“United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties is excited to hear from Holmes County community members to better direct dollars to the needs in the community. We work daily to connect with not only residential members, but also with businesses.” Koglman stated, “we hope both attend and get to know United Way!”.
