There are many benefits to General’s Club, Wooster City School’s before and after school care program. It provides their students with a warm, safe learning environment, as well as a place for students to make friends and build self-esteem. The before school program started a walking club. One student, who attended General’s Club in the morning, was not as physically active as most of the other children. She was certain that she would never achieve 100 laps like the rest of her friends. With the encouragement of staff and friends, within two months, she did just that. The joy and happiness on her face when she reached her goal was priceless!
